How Did Selena First Get Into Acting?

Her mom was an actress in theatre  which got Selena interested in acting. She got her first real acting job on the kids show Barney & Friends at the age of 7. She had a few other smaller roles until at the age of 12 she started working for the Disney Channel. She started off with a small role on the Suite Life of Zack And Cody then she was on Hannah Montana a few times. Her big break, however, was when she was cast as Alex Russo on Wizards of Waverly Place. The show has been very successful and Selena has been a big part of the shows success. 

Since joining Wizards of Waverly Place, Selena's acting career has grown. She's been a guest star on several other Disney Channel shows and starred in Disney Channel movies such as Princess Protection Program (with her friend Demi Lovato) and Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie. Bigger roles have started to open up for her, too. She starred as Beezus in the major motion picture Ramona and Beezus in 2010.
